Peg Larsen is an expert in the political process. Pegs
knowledge and experience with intricacies inside politics
has attributed to her numerous clients successes over
five legislative sessions. Peg has a unique ability to
bring people together who, normally would sit on opposite
sides of issues. One of her key strengths is leveraging
forward movement and achieving workable solutions.
Peg became a council woman for the city of Lakeland
Minnesota in 1987. Peg served with the city council,
and as Commissioner of public safety. Peg was appointed
by the council as interim Mayor in 1991. As the first
woman mayor of Lakeland Peg concisely won re-election
completing her second term as Mayor.
Peg was elected to the Minnesota House or representatives
in 1994. During her 3 terms as a Minnesota legislator
She served on numerous committees and task forces. During
her tenure at the Minnesota legislature Peg chaired
the Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs Committee,
was Co-Chair of the Aggregate Resource Task Force. She
served on the Judiciary and Judicial Finance Committees,
Environment and Natural Resource Finance committee,
Government Operations Committee and Trade and Economic
Development Committee.
After three successful terms in the legislature, Peg
chose to not run for a fourth term. Peg was contacted
by several of her now clients shortly after leaving
the Legislature for her expertise in the political realm.
Over the last 5 years She has developed a successful
Lobbying practice that has included clients such as
Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Minnesota
Counseling Association, Hennepin County Environmental
Services, and Southern Minnesota Civil Legal Services.
Outside of politics for the past 25 years Peg has worked
with Larsen Properties in many facets of real estate.
